The short version: this website sets no cookies.
That is unusual enough to be worth explaining properly, which is what the rest of this page does.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise your browser again later. Some are needed to make a site work: staying logged in, holding a basket. Most of the ones people object to are there to count visitors or to follow them between sites.
What this website uses
No cookies of any kind: not essential ones, not analytics, not marketing.
One thing is stored in your browser, and it is not a cookie: a single localStorage marker named lbts-cookie-notice-v1, written only when you press Got it on the notice that appears on your first visit. Its entire contents are the number 1. It means “this person has seen the notice” and nothing else: not who you are, not where you went, not when you were here.
The difference matters: a cookie is sent to a server with every request you make, which is what makes cookies useful for tracking. localStorage is never sent anywhere. That marker stays on your machine, we cannot read it, and clearing your browsing data deletes it.
Beyond that one marker the site stores nothing: no sessionStorage, no local database. There is nothing to log in to and no basket to remember, so there is no state to keep.
No analytics, and no tracking
There is no Google Analytics, no Meta or Facebook pixel, no tag manager, no session recording and no heatmap tool on this site.
We do not know who you are, which pages you looked at or how long you stayed. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs so the site can stay online and resist abuse, as every host does, and that is the extent of it.
Fonts and other third parties
The typefaces are built into this site and served from its own domain. They are not fetched from Google, so loading a page does not tell Google you were here.
No part of this site embeds a third-party video, map, chat widget or social feed, so no third party is given a chance to set a cookie through us.
If you click through to WhatsApp
The buttons that start a conversation take you to WhatsApp, which is part of Meta. Once you are there you are on their service, under their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control. Nothing is shared with them unless you follow that link.
The same goes for the social profile links in the footer.
Why the notice has only one button
A consent banner exists so you can refuse cookies that are not strictly necessary. Since this site sets none, there is nothing for you to agree to or refuse. An Accept-or-Decline banner here would be asking your permission for something that is not happening.
So the notice on this site states a fact and gives you one button to close it. Closing it is not consent to anything. There is nothing it would be consent to.
If a tracker is ever added to this website, it will be named on this page and put behind a real consent banner, with a genuine refusal, before it is switched on.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set and delete them, usually under Privacy or Site settings. If you check this site there, you should find no cookies at all, only the one marker described above, listed under local storage rather than cookies. Clearing site data for this domain removes it, and the notice will simply appear once more.
