New website Sint Maarten General Hospital

Sint Maarten General Hospital is the island's main healthcare provider. Dozens of departments, hundreds of staff, and patients who arrive stressed and short on time. Their old website had grown into a maze: important information was buried, department pages were inconsistent, and finding a phone number or visiting hours took far too many clicks.

As the hospital moved into a new era of care, they needed a digital front door that matched it: calm, clear, and genuinely useful the moment someone lands on it, whether they're a patient, a family member, or a job applicant.

A hospital website has to serve very different people at once: a patient checking where to go for an appointment, a relative looking for visiting hours, a nurse the hospital is trying to recruit. The challenge was to organise a huge amount of information so that each of them finds what they need in seconds, without dumbing anything down.

On top of that, the site had to be easy for the hospital's own team to keep current, in plain language, on any device, and fast even on a slow island connection.

We rebuilt the site around how people actually use it. A clean, consistent structure gives every department the same clear template, so patients always know where they are and what to do next. Key actions like finding a department, calling the right desk, checking visiting hours or applying for a job are never more than a click or two away.

To keep it effortless for the team, we built it on a content system they can update themselves in plain language, and we stayed on afterwards to keep it fast, secure and current.
